As an educator that supports other educators and a mom of elementary age kids, August is the busiest month of the year for me. I’m busy finalizing curricula, preparing workshops and answering questions left and right. I’m also busy buying school supplies, planning for new routines and cleaning/organizing so we have a good start to the year. So for this August Reading Wrap-up, I am super happy that I read FOUR books this month, three of which are for spooky season.

- Ain’t That a Mother: Postpartum, Palsy, and Everything in Between by Adiba Nelson: Loved this audiobook! So thankful that Ms. Nelson shared her life and experiences so that other women, particularly Black women, have a chance to see experiences about love and motherhood shared by one of their own.
