Cozy Reading Challenges Help Set October Reading Goals

Posted October 2, 2022 by Richetta in Monthly Reading Goals / 0 Comments

October is a fun month to read whether you are into spooky reads, cozy mysteries or just sticking to your regular favorites. For those of you who live in an area where the weather gets a little chillier or sometimes downright cold. October is the beginning of cozy reading season, the best season in my opinion. You can snuggle up under a blanket, sometimes even outside, and immerse yourself in a good book.

This month I’m doing to two cozy reading challenges! One is the #Arctober challenge hosted by the #ReadSpinRepeatBookClub on Instagram. This challenge will hopefully help me chip a little further into my virtual pile of NetGalley arcs that I have accumulated. This will be key for me since I will be attending the NCTE Annual convention and ALAN Workshop in November and my arc list will most likely double there.

The second of my cozy reading challenges is a bookish photo challenge called #BIPOCtober. I’m looking forward to participating in as many days as I can for this fun challenge. You can follow along with the hashtag on my Instagram page.

The list below features mostly arcs from my NetGalley digital arc list. My list is a little larger than usual so that I can accommodate my mood reading tendencies. There is a good dose of horror and mystery in there for those looking for a spooky Halloween recommendation. I’ve included the publish dates for those of you want to preorder or put an early reserve on a library copy.
