The leaves are changing and it’s time to get ready for chillier weather. I’ve got my hot cocoa on standby for as soon as the temps get below 60 degrees. I am very excited about the Fall book releases that will be debuting between now and November. My list is huge and I don’t expect to get through every book before winter arrives. But that is okay! I will have fun trying!
Below I have listed Fall book releases that I am excited to read. They represent a variety of genres and a diversity of perspectives. Many of them are #ownvoices. They range from children’s books to young adult to adult. So get your pumpkin spice latte, coffee or hot cocoa, a pen and some paper, and prepare to add a few of these titles to your own TBR. Hint: It’s also a great time for my fellow readers to start making their Christmas lists… I heard it is best to pre-order this year because of all of the supply chain disruptions.
If you see anything that you want to add to your own TBR list, let me know in the comments! You can also check out this booklist in my new Bookshop storefront.

September

You can check out my posts September Reading Goals: School Routines, Obligations and Books…Oh My!!! and 10 September Books to Add To Your Wish List to get the details on these titles. My White Smoke Review will be posted next week. I am also on three blog tours in September, so you can check out my reviews of the following titles, We Can: Portraits of Power, So Many Beginnings and The Bones of Ruin for more insight.
October

October is going to be an exciting month for Fall Book Releases! I can’t wait to dig into these titles that range from activism to historical accounts to fantasy to retellings. These books don’t even include my spooky reads! That will be a seperate post. (Which honestly won’t be that many considering I’m a spooky reads wimp. You can check out my Friday Night Highlights: White Smoke by Tiffany D. Jackson Has Me Shook post as proof of that point.) But first I plan to check out Within These Wicked Walls by Lauren Blackwood, an Ethiopian retelling of Jane Eyre, and Shattered Midnight by Dhonielle Clayton, the second book in a fairy tales series that follows one family that is cursed, which were kind of giving me spooky vibes from the descriptions, so we’ll see.
November

There are some hot books on this November list! Let’s just say, mama might have to check out some audiobook versions while she cooks Thanksgiving dinner, because I think these books are going to be that good! The book I will be devouring first will be Skin of the Sea by Natasha Bowen. Mostly because I am forever intrigued by black mermaids. I also want to give a shout out to fellow Bookstagrammer Jemise Harper of @diversespines who worked with Jane Mount to write Bibliofile: Diverse Spines
Special thanks to NetGalley and all of the publishers who provided e-galleys and print copies of these books in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinions of the books or the contents of my reviews.
