Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Sometimes you have to just accept how things move in seasons. I’ve noticed over the past two summers that the number of books I finish reading in June and July, take a significant dip. This is due to travel, a different schedule and spending time with my family. I’m still reading, it’s just taking me longer to finish books. I also listen to fewer audiobooks because I’m not in the car as much. After reflecting, I’m okay with this and going forward I will probably take a break from monthly roundups in June and July.

But now I’m back and so are my Monthly Reading Wrap-ups!!! August was a great reading month and I almost made up for the books I thought I would read earlier in the summer. I read 8 books: four ebooks and four audiobooks. The line up of books I finished is pretty diverse both in representation and genre.

What I Read in August

  • Man Made Monsters by Andrea L. Rogers
  • The Whole & Healthy Family by Jodi Mockabee
  • Soil: A Black Mother’s Garden by Camille Dungy
  • Sharks Don’t Sink by Jasmin Graham
  • To the Bone by Alena Bruzas
  • Luminous Beings by David Arnold and Jose Pimienta
  • Everything We Never Had by Randy Ribay
  • Skin & Bones by Renée Watson

Most of these books left a pretty big impression on me. So expect to see reviews on them very soon! A couple of them were 5 Stars for me!!!
