December was a busy month, per usual. So I didn’t put a lot of expectations on myself for reading. I was moving around running errands and cleaning and cooking and still doing regular things. As a mom this time of year can be hard for me to focus on my own self-care because I am so busy caring for others. When it gets this busy, I find it hard to even listen to an audiobook because my mind is going in so many directions at once.
What I Read
- Saints of the Household by Ari Tison: This debut book was amazing, poetic and emotional. Keep a lookout for it on March 28, 2023 when it comes out. It is already one of my favorites of 2023. Here are my thoughts from a Currently Reading Post I wrote: Currently Reading: Saints of the Household by Ari Tison
- Crumbs by Danie Stirling: This is a graphic novel about a romance between two college-age teens who seem to be on different paths. It was cute and sweet. It’s a world that includes magic too. I am a sucker for a magic bakery. It came out in July 2022.
